What Makes a Holiday ‘Supported’ for NDIS Participants?

A supported holiday—often part of tailored NDIS holiday packages— includes a trained support worker accompanying you during your trip, helping with personal care, routines, and activity access. Concept Care provides the worker and helps plan your trip, ensuring it aligns with your goals. While NDIS won’t fund transport or hotels, we help you maximise your Core Supports for a smooth and enjoyable break. It’s all about safe, structured travel with the right support in place.

NDIS Holiday Accommodation in Sydney & NSW

While Concept Care doesn’t provide or book accommodation, we help you choose accessible places to stay based on your needs. We guide you to holiday parks, hotels, or rentals with features like ramps, grab rails, and nearby facilities. Once booked, our support worker accompanies you during the stay, assisting with routines, mobility, and participation in planned activities. You bring the destination—we’ll bring the support.

Short-Term Accommodation vs. NDIS Holidays: What's the Difference?

Short-Term Accommodation (STA) is often used for respite at a registered facility. Supported holidays, however, are participant-led trips where a support worker joins you. Concept Care focuses on holidays: we help plan your trip and provide the worker to accompany you. While STA must follow NDIS respite rules, supported holidays can reflect your goals—fun, skill-building, or social inclusion—outside a formal respite setting. It’s travel, your way, with support.
