Private Care at Home

Private in-home care can be tailored to meet your individual needs.  Even if you do not have an option to receive Government subsidies, you can still avail services provided by Concept Care.  These private in-home supports are funded by you, which enables you to access our services at any age for any length of time without any assessment required from the government.

We provide support services for those who may not be eligible for Government subsidised services. As a private client, you may access our support services  immediately, at your choosing without restrictions.  Private services, also allows you to ‘top up’ your existing home care package with any additional services you might need that can’t be achieved with your budget.

Who Needs Private Care?

Everyone is entitled to private care. Private care is most often sorted for people awaiting approved government assistance, or for those who are not eligible for any government assistance. Common reasons to engage private supports are:

  • An individual has recently left hospital and requires some level of assistance and support;
  • Person is suffering a debilitating or terminal illness;
  • An individual has profound disabilities; and
  • People who are alone or socially isolated.

What support can I get with Private Care?

Personal Care

We provide assistance with showering, dressing and toileting, including both stand-by and full assistance. Our caregivers are experts in all aspects of personal care and safe manual handling procedures including hoists.

Domestic Assistance​

We offer a wide range of domestic duties including cleaning, dusting, vacuuming, mopping, washing, ironing and other household tasks.

Meal Preparation

We assist you with preparing and cooking meals of your choice.

Gardening Assistance

We provide expert gardening and yard work assistance such as regular maintenance visits.

Community Access

We can assist you in attending family and community events, like going shopping, seeing a movie or even pursuing a hobby.

Travel & Transport

We help you gain independence by supporting you with travel and transport to and from social and community participation.

Social Support

We provide healthy social interactions and activities that promote good physical and cognitive, emotional and mental health. Some companionship activities include; Conversation, company, social outings, crafts and more.

24-Hour Care

You can stop worrying about your loved one returning home from hospital safely, or falling during the night and waiting hours for help to arrive. Our compassionate caregivers make your loved one's life easier by providing round the clock personal care, meal preparation, companionship, domestic assistance, community access, transport and if required, medication prompting.

Complex Needs Support

We provide assistance with hoisting, PEG feeding, continence and bowel care management including catheter care. Extensive training is provided for all services listed above. For any service listed outside of these, training can be arranged with a clinical nurse educator so we can meet your individual specific needs.

Medication Management

Medication plays an important role in helping individuals maintain their health. We have trained carers and nurses to assist individuals with their medication needs.

Assistance with Employment

We want to help clients who want to work, to get the job they like and keep it. We can assist you with creating a resume, looking for work, help you apply for community or volunteer work and get you work ready.

Flexible/In-Home Respte Care

In-home respite services means carers and family members can rest easy knowing that their loved one's routine remains uninterrupted and they are in an environment which caters to their needs. Respite care can be delivered either regularly or once-off adhoc basis depending on your needs.

How much do private services cost?

The costs associated with private care are unique to everyone. The cost is dependent on you, your needs and level of support required and the length of time you require the support, as well as, any insurance or eligibility you may have for government support.

We believe in price transparency and the freedom of choice and control, so we will take you through all the out-of-pockets expenses relating to your care and needs during your initial consultation, that way you can make an informed decision.
