Concept Care Recognised as an Employer of Choice at the Australian Business Awards 2025
- December 30, 2025
We’re incredibly proud to share some wonderful news. Concept Care has been named an Employer of Choice at The Australian Business Awards 2025. This recognition means a lot to us, because at its heart, it’s about people – the people who choose to work with us, grow with us, and show up every day to support others with care, respect, and dedication.
The Australian Business Award for Employer of Choice recognises organisations that genuinely invest in their workforce. It looks at how businesses attract, support, and retain their people through meaningful policies, strong leadership, and a positive workplace culture. Being recognised in this space reassures us that the way we care for our team truly matters.
Who We Are
Concept Care Disability Solutions Pty Ltd is an NDIS-registered provider delivering disability and injury-related support across Greater Sydney. Everything we do is guided by strong governance, robust compliance, and a values-led approach. Most importantly, we believe every person deserves dignity, independence, and a real sense of connection within their community – and that belief extends to both our participants and our staff.
The Work We Do, and How We Do It
Today, our team is made up of 200+ staff working across six departments, all playing an important role in delivering daily living support, complex and high-needs care, respite, private in-home services, recreational programs, and Support Coordination. We operate in line with the NDIS Act 2013, NDIS Practice Standards, and the WHS Act 2011 (NSW), and we’re especially proud to have achieved a recent external audit with zero non-conformities. In a highly regulated sector, this reflects the care, accountability, and consistency our team brings to their work every day.
Creating a Workplace Where People Feel Supported
At Concept Care, we often talk about creating a workplace where people feel supported, valued, and encouraged to grow. That’s the foundation of our Employee Value Proposition. Our leaders are accessible around the clock, because support shouldn’t stop at 5pm. Structured support teams and regular wellbeing check-ins help ensure no one feels alone or unheard. We know that when our staff feel cared for, they’re better able to care for others.
Learning, Growth, and Career Pathways
Learning and development are a big part of life at Concept Care. Every team member completes a thorough three-day induction, followed by biennial re-inductions and ongoing compliance training through our Etrainu learning platform. From fortnightly manual handling refreshers to Crisis Prevention Training and real-time coaching, we make sure our people feel confident and capable in their roles. For those looking to build a long-term career, we offer Certificate III traineeships, student placements with local colleges, and even visa sponsorship opportunities. These pathways don’t just support individual growth – they strengthen our workforce and help build a more sustainable sector.
Recognising Effort and Supporting Performance
We also believe good work deserves recognition. Performance is supported through regular check-ins, six-monthly reviews, and annual appraisals that focus on strengths, development goals, and future opportunities. Our monthly Chevalier Award celebrates team members who go above and beyond, while peer and client feedback helps keep appreciation flowing both ways. Staff are paid above the SCHADS Award, with flexible work arrangements and access to an Employee Assistance Program to support mental health and wellbeing.
Health, Safety, and Wellbeing Come First
Safety is never treated as a tick-box exercise. We take health and wellbeing seriously, with strong WHS frameworks, a Zero Tolerance Policy, and a dedicated Return-to-Work Program delivered alongside Altius Group. Training in safe work practices, manual handling, and behaviour support helps create safe environments for everyone involved. We also listen closely to our team through engagement surveys and wellbeing conversations, using their feedback to continuously improve how we work.
A Culture We’re Proud Of
What truly sets Concept Care apart is our culture. It’s one built on respect, recognition, and accessibility. Our people consistently tell us they feel supported, valued, and proud to represent an organisation that balances compliance with compassion. That sense of pride and belonging is what makes this Employer of Choice recognition so meaningful.
Looking Ahead
Being recognised at the Australian Business Awards 2025 isn’t just a milestone – it’s a reflection of our commitment to our people. We’re excited to keep growing, learning, and creating a workplace where everyone has the opportunity to reach their full potential while delivering safe, person-centred support to the community.
